The Trustee of the Fund is committed to handling your personal information with care.
The Trustee has an obligation to comply with all relevant State and Federal legislation with regard to the management and administration of the Fund and the handling of your personal information.
Relevant legislation includes the Privacy Act 1988 (the Act), which contains National Privacy Principles, regulating the collection, holding, use, correction, disclosure and transfer of personal information by organisations such as the Fund.
The Trustee ensures that it complies with all the requirements outlined in the Act, and is committed to ensuring that your privacy is respected and that your personal information is handled with care.

The Trustee employs a range of service providers to assist with the management and administration of the Fund. These service providers collect or have access to your personal information on behalf of the Trustee. All service providers are bound by the Act and must abide by the National Privacy Principles when handling your information.
Australian Administration Services (ABN 62 003 429114) (AAS) is a specialist administration company, employed by the Trustee to administer the Fund.
eo Financial Services Pty Ltd (ABN 57 103 181 844) (eoFS) provides the Trustee with a range of services, including:
eoFS also provides premises for the Trustee. eo Pty Ltd (ABN 53 000 013 276 AFSL 232501) (eoPL) provides general financial product advice on behalf of the Trustee. eoFS and eoPL are related companies, and are permitted under the Act to share the information they collect.

Your information may be collected directly from you or indirectly from your employer. Your employer may provide information to the Trustee under an employee records exemption, which allows them to satisfy their obligation to you under Superannuation Guarantee legislation.
Medical information may also be sought if you submit an application for insurance cover or if you make a claim for an insurance benefit or a claim for the early release of your superannuation on grounds of total and permanent disablement or terminal medical condition.
Privacy Principle 1.3 requires the Trustee and its service providers to take reasonable steps to ensure that you are aware of who is requesting your information and how to contact them.
Your personal information is held and used for the purposes of establishing your membership, administering your superannuation entitlements and collecting contributions, administering insurance, calculating your benefit, responding to your queries, and for product development.
If you do not provide personal information that is sought by the Trustee, there may be delays in establishing your membership of the Fund, paying or transferring a superannuation benefit, processing a request for insurance cover or an insurance benefit, or otherwise contacting you or providing you with services.
Providing your tax file number is not compulsory, however if your tax file number has not been provided then contributions to and payments from your account may be taxed at the highest marginal tax rate plus the Medicare Levy. Without your tax file number the Trustee cannot accept after-tax contributions into your account.

Sensitive information, such as medical and health information, is only collected, used or disclosed with your express consent. The forms used to collect such information will provide details about how sensitive information may be used or disclosed.
Personal information is disposed of with care, either by shredding documents, or by sending documents for recycling where information continues to be treated as confidential. The Trustee requires its service providers to implement strong data security principles.
You can request access to your personal information, or update or correct your personal information, by contacting the Fund (details provided below).
The Trustee retains the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover the costs of providing you with access to your information, although usually your personal information can be confirmed to you without cost. While a request for confirmation of your personal information will be answered as soon as possible, please allow a month from the date of your request for a response to be provided.
